Leeds may talk with three realistic free agents in January.

Daniel Farke’s team has had a strong start to the season, but they may be tempted to add to its ranks in January.

Leeds United have made a good start to life back in the Championship, sitting in fifth place after 11 games.

Daniel Farke‘s team are unbeaten at Elland Road and have already scored 17 goals this season, with summer signing Joe Piroe scoring five goals since joining from Swansea City.

Georginio Rutter is beginning to look like the man for whom the Whites paid £35.5 million in January, and adolescent Archie Gray‘s progress continues apace. So far, Ethan Ampadu and Joe Rodon have both been standout performers.

However, with plenty of games still to come, January might be an ideal time to add to their squad or even arrange terms with players who are out of contract in the summer.

We at LeedsLive have identified three players who would be an ideal fit for United and would add quality to a group that is currently doing admirably in the Championship this season.

Lundstram, 29, recently switched from Sheffield United to Rangers as he embarked on a new journey at Ibrox. The former Blade, a bustling, tenacious midfielder, faced several clashes against the Whites during his time at Bramall Lane and is out of contract in Scotland at the end of the season.

With Premier League and European experience under his belt, the midfielder would be an excellent addition to any club near the top of the Championship table, and his defensive qualities may even allow Ethan Ampadu to be played further up the pitch.

 Michail Antonio

Michail Antonio has been a fantastic servant for West Ham United, but he is out of contract in the summer and might be one to watch. At 33, the Hammers may be seeking for greener pastures in terms of attacking alternatives.

Despite his own off-field issues in 2023, Harry Toffolo remains a quality choice with lots of Premier League experience. It remains to be seen whether the former Huddersfield Town man is retained next summer, a move that would make geographical sense.

He has plenty of football left in him at the age of 28, and after being used as a rotation player at the City Ground last season, Leeds could swoop in to grab his services for next season.
