Sources: Man City have agreed a deal of £1.2 million for Leeds United starlet Finley Gorman.
According to Football Insider, Manchester City have achieved a full agreement on a record-breaking deal for Leeds United prodigy Finley Gorman worth a total of £1.2 million.
Following months of discussions, it is believed that everything is now in place for the 15-year-old to join the Premier League giants.
The fee is a British record for someone his age, and it follows his outstanding performances for the Whites‘ younger sides.
Daniel Farke‘s side are disappointed to see the youngster leave Elland Road and have attempted to persuade him to stay in Yorkshire.
However, the appeal of Man City persuaded him to transfer after significant behind-the-scenes research on the deal, which included a visit to the Citizens’ cutting-edge training centre.
Gorman received a lot of attention on social media after video of his performances went viral.
In five games for Leeds in the under-18 Premier League, the attacking midfielder has two goals and one assist.
He has also played for England‘s under-16 team this season, starting in friendlies against Italy and Switzerland after making his debut at the age of 14.
He is regarded as one of Leeds‘ most promising prospects, however he will not be eligible for his first professional deal until he becomes 17 years old.
Leeds will face Rotherham in their first Championship match following the international break, while Manchester City will face second-place Liverpool.
