Leeds player might be out for weeks due to a muscle rupture, according to an injury expert.

Leeds United defender Sam Byram may be out for weeks (worst-case scenario) – Injury Expert

Dr. Rajpal Brar, an injury expert, has joined us as an exclusive columnist. He’ll be sharing his thoughts on the Leeds United injury situation every week…

Leeds United defender Sam Byram might be out for weeks if the worst-case scenario of the injury is confirmed, according to Dr. Rajpal Brar.

The Whites‘ summer signing was pulled off at half-time in Saturday’s 4-1 triumph over Huddersfield Town, according to the injury specialist.

While there has been no additional news from the club other than that he was experiencing muscle pain, he may yet miss a few games.

Brar, a Physical Therapist and Sports Scientist, said exclusively to MOT Leeds News about Byram:

A player being taken off at half-time is always cause for concern, but the club provided no further updates.”

“The worst-case scenario would be a muscle rupture, but that appears highly unlikely.”

“If it is, then he could be out for a few weeks.”

Leeds would suffer a significant blow if Byram were to go because they do not have a recognised left-back to replace him in the starting eleven.

Junior Firpo is still recovering from an injury, and even if he is fit, he is unlikely to play right away due to a lack of match readiness.

This would imply that someone like Jamie Shackleton or Pascal Struijk would be asked to play at left-back, and it remains to be seen what the club’s official word is.
