Charlie Cresswell is being linked with a move away from Leeds United this month as he continues to battle for game time – and Leeds are scheduled to have negotiations this week for a potential replacement.
After the win over Birmingham, Daniel Farke stated that it is up to Daniel Farkewhether he wants to stay at Leeds or leave on loan. Rangers, Southampton, and Middlesbrough are among the clubs interested.
The next few days could be crucial for Cresswell, who has only been called up three times in our last 16 League games. Despite the fact that Leeds will be without Pascal Struijk on Saturday.
So Cresswell may leave and be replaced. That may be Nathaniel Adjei, the Ghanaian rocker who plays for Swedish team Hammarby. Sunderland and we have previously been connected with Adjei.
Now, an update ahead of Adjei’s possible departure. According to LUFC Fan Zone, we have booked a meeting to discuss a price for Adjei, who is valued between £3m and £4m.
Nathaniel Adjei’s deal to Leeds United will be discussed this week.
Ipswich and Millwall are also interested, but Leeds are the first to initiate talks with Hammarby about a transfer for Adjei. Leeds is also said to be unconcerned about personal terms.
So it appears that Leeds are preparing for life without Cresswell by bringing in a substitute in the form of Adjei – or attempting to do so. A wise acquisition of a player with great potential.
But, if Leeds can avoid it, wouldn’t it be better to keep Cresswell permanently and let him go on loan rather than cashing in? Cresswell has a lot of potential and is a big Leeds fan.
