Leeds United attempted but failed to sign Jonathan Rowe from Norwich City in the summer, and he instead joined Marseille on a loan-to-buy agreement.
Daniel Farke‘s attempts to rebuild his offense during the summer window were successful, transforming it into the best in the division and, more importantly, the most balanced.

However, Leeds were still looking for one more signing in the final third, and it wasn’t for a lack of effort on that front.
Despite Marseille’s struggles, Leeds continue to be interested in £12.5 million-rated Jonathan Rowe.
Jonathan Rowe was a priority target for Leeds over the summer months, but Norwich City resisted Leeds’ initial interest until the winger put up a fuss and left.
He eventually joined Roberto De Zerbi at Marseille, signing an initial loan deal with a £14 million buyout clause and an additional £3 million in add-ons.

However, with only two goals and two assists this season for the Ligue 1 giants, Rowe may already be on his way out of Marseille, according to Jeunes Footeux.
They explain that both Leeds and Everton are monitoring the winger ahead of a summer where he’s set to move despite only just becoming a permanent signing in the same window.
Rowe might be effective regardless of the division for Leeds.

Leeds’ promotion is clearly going to come down to the wire, so any alleged transfer interest is difficult to justify.
That being said, given Rowe’s quality and the fact that he is only 21, he is absolutely someone to keep an eye on.
No matter what division we play in, there is always room for a winger with his direct pace and ball skills, not to mention his finishing.
