Leeds United are pondering a double EFL bargain swoop in January, and Farke will be ecstatic – View

In the last week, Leeds United have been connected with moves for two EFL strikers: Barnsley’s Fabio Jalo and AFC Wimbledon’s Ali Al-Hamadi.

The Whites are looking good at the moment, with a side capable of challenging for automatic promotion after doing well in the summer to oversee significant changes.

However, January is quickly approaching, and the 49ers should have plans in place to bring in new faces wherever they are needed.

Al-Hamadi

Leeds has been associated to who?
According to recent reports, the club is now monitoring two strikers, both of whom are currently playing in the EFL and excelling.

First, South London Press reported that Leeds are keeping an eye on AFC Wimbledon‘s 21-year-old striker Ali Al-Hamadi, an Iraq international who has five goals and five assists this season across all competitions.

Second, TEAMtalk reports that Leeds are among a number of English clubs interested in Barnsley’s 17-year-old attacker Fabio Jalo, who struck a wonder-goal in their 3-3 draw with Horsham on Friday.

Fabio Jalo

Farke is overjoyed.

While Leeds may not require a new striker in the coming year, the fact that Farke already has Georginio Rutter, Joel Piroe, Patrick Bamford, Joe Gelhardt, and Mateo Joseph demonstrates that the club is active.

The club must back him in the new year to give us the best opportunity of promotion, and if the manager believes a new striker is required as backup, the club must provide it.

At 21 and 17, neither can be expected to make the step up to a Championship promotion race, but neither has a long contract left (Al-Hamadi 2025, Jalo 2024), so a bargain deal is worth considering.

Funds will be available, and Farke may receive the support he requires when the time comes in 2024.
