We are pleased to welcome Dr. Rajpal Brar, an expert on injuries, as a new exclusive columnist. He will share his opinions on Leeds United’s injury situation every week.
Dr Rajpal Brar claims that defender Sam Byram of Leeds United could miss months of action because of a hamstring injury.
According to the injury expert, it’s fortunate for both the full-back and the club that he recovered more quickly than anticipated because these can be very challenging to manage.
Daniel Farke would have had to cope with his absence until the new year if it hadn’t been a mild one.
Physical therapist and sports scientist Brar, who spoke exclusively to MOT Leeds News, stated the following about Byram:
“According to what the club has stated, the best case scenario is that he has a grade 1 mild hamstring injury unrelated to his prior chronic conditions.
It’s encouraging for the team and the player that the manager even mentioned that he recovered more quickly than anticipated.
“A Grade 3 rupture would be the worst scenario for Byram, and he would have missed months of work.”
To everyone’s surprise, Byram signed during the summer and has since established himself as a key member of Leeds’ starting lineup.
At first, it was thought that he was just returning to train with the club in order to find a new club.
He was eventually signed by the team permanently, though, as Farke appeared to be impressed with him.
Who the German chooses at left-back when Junior Firpo returns to being a 100% player is still unknown.
