According to the Daily Mail, Leeds United are considering a deal for Rangers midfielder Glen Kamara as a replacement for Tyler Adams.
According to the newspaper’s website (7 August), Daniel Farke‘s side are mulling a move for the out-of-favour Finnish midfielder, who has been practising alone at Ibrox while looking for his next transfer.
Adams is a target for Chelsea, and a move to Stamford Bridge appears to be in the cards. The USMNT captain has a relegation release provision in his contract, so the Whites have already began to consider a successor.
“Leeds are weighing a move for Rangers midfielder Glen Kamara as they seek replacements for Tyler Adams,” says Simon Jones of the club’s midfield hunt.
“Leeds had been considering a move for Dion Lopy from Reims, but he has joined Almeria.” Adams has been courted by Bournemouth, Aston Villa, Manchester United, Brighton, Nottingham Forest, and Liverpool, but he appears to be heading to Chelsea.”

Kamara is on the market at Ibrox, with manager Michael Beale confirming he is training alone as all sides try to find a resolution to his time in Glasgow, and Adams‘ exit may provide Leeds with the push to rescue him.
Kamara isn’t a horrible player simply because he’s not in Beale’s plans; he was one of Rangers‘ greatest players until last season, earning the Scottish Premiership with the Light Blues as well as the Finnish Footballer of the Year award in 2022.
With international and Champions League experience, Leeds would be securing the services of an exceptional player who is now in a slump but is only 27 years old and likely to be hitting their prime.
The midfielder has only one year left on his contract at Ibrox, but the Gers have set a £5m price tag on Kamara, an exorbitant figure for a player nearing the end of his contract, but the new owners at Elland Road do have money to spend.
Kamara would have gone a great way towards filling the vacuum created by Adams‘ departure, and would have been the type of signing that would have delighted fans had it happened when Leeds were in the top division and Kamara was at his best.
