Over the weekend, Lyall Thomas claims Leeds United made a desperate attempt to buy Crystal Palace winger Jesurun Rak-Sayki.
The 21 year old is expected to sign a loan with Sheffield United instead of Burnley or Norwich City, the Sky Sports reporter said on his personal X account on August 12.
The winger is reportedly heading to Bramall Lane on Monday, August 12, to get his medical clearance before reporting to the Blades for the 2024–2025 season.
Jesurun Rak-Sakyi is expected to miss Leeds United’s season.
To the dismay of Elland Road supporters, Rak-Sakyi appears to have been chosen to join the Blades instead of Leeds, which would have been a rather thrilling coup for the former.
Daniel Farke’s team needed to replace the vacuum created by Crysencio Summerville’s move to West Ham United earlier this month, and the 21-year-old appeared to be the ideal candidate.
Rak-Sayki [Alan Nixon] is rumored to have had a £15 million bid from Leeds to sign him, but Palace was reportedly simply looking for the appropriate loan arrangement since Selhurst Park could produce a lot of growth for the young player.
The winger is now close to signing a contract with Sheffield United, therefore attention will probably move to Jonathan Rowe of Norwich, who is rumored to be up for £15 million this summer [Daily Mirror].
