Leeds United records transfer success with hopes of promotion boosted.

The summer has come to an end, and supporters are feeling more unified as the Whites push for promotion.

Leeds United‘s start under Daniel Farke, along with a busy transfer window, appears to have united the fanbase, with supporters finally agreeing on where they believe the team will finish this season.

Since the club’s relegation from the Premier League four months ago, there has been a transfer whirlwind after the club’s acquisition by 49ers Enterprises and the appointment of Farke. The Elland Road club has retained some of its players, but there’s no denying that this is a completely different team than the one that last played in England’s top flight.

The transfer window’s close brings an end to a tumultuous summer, with the focus shifting to what’s occurring on the pitch. That’s why we polled Whites fans to see where they thought the club would finish this season. It was the same question we posed after relegation in May, and the parallels are intriguing.

Before the summer, fans were divided between those who believed the team would return to the Premier League at the first attempt and others who believed the club would fall back into Championship oblivion.

In the days following relegation, more than one-third of fans (35%) predicted automatic promotion, while 29% predicted a midtable finish – a stark contrast between the optimistic and pessimistic branches of the Leeds United fanbase.

Fans now appear to be much more confident about where the team will finish, and while fewer fans plan to celebrate a top-two finish at the end of the season, the results reveal that supporters are overall more optimistic than they were in May.

Almost half of the club’s fans (46%) predict the team will make the playoffs this season, while a quarter anticipate the club will finish just outside the top six. This suggests that 84% of respondents foresee a major push for promotion, up from 68% a few months earlier.

At the same time, the number of fans expecting the team to finish in the middle of the league has more than halved, with only 12% anticipating the club to be completely out of play-off contention.

6th place: 18%
Push for playoffs: 15%
