Leeds United’s highly rated youngster is ready to join a top-flight team on loan

Kris Moore is poised to leave Leeds United in January, with Hibernian interested in taking him on loan – Joe Donnohue

According to Yorkshire Evening Post journalist Joe Donnohue, Leeds United defender Kris Moore is expected to join Hibernian on loan for the second half of the season.

The versatile defender announced his departure from the club on his personal Twitter account on January 2nd, despite agreeing to a contract extension until 2025 earlier this season.

Moore is largely regarded as being ready for senior football after appearing in over 60 games for the Whites Under-21s, and with Hibs due to lose numerous first-team players in January, they are eager to improve their roster.

“The Edinburgh club has lost a couple of defenders to the AfCoN/Asian Cup.” Moore spent his junior career at Leeds playing CB, RB, and

Moore is a highly rated talent who has fallen victim to Daniel Farke’s strength in depth at Elland Road.

His best position has been central defence, however he is clearly behind Liam Cooper, Joe Rodon, Pascal Struijk, Charlie Cresswell, and possibly fellow youngster Diogo Monteiro.

As a result, a loan agreement is a terrific option for both the player and both sides, and if he gets consistent playing time, it will only benefit his growth and future at Leeds.

Diogo Monteiro

It’s not often that players are loaned out to top-flight clubs, so this should be a fantastic opportunity for him to grow and evolve.

If he wants to play first-team football at Elland Road, he needs to show what he’s capable of, and he’s unlikely to have a better opportunity than this.
