Liverpool now wants a staggering £30 million after Leeds United made a superior bid for the “special” talent.

There have already been several significant transfers and some unexpected arrivals during the January transfer window. The fact that a player on Liverpool’s roster is currently attracting a lot of Premier League attention is one of the major headlines.

Leeds United has not yet taken any action. Blackburn is interested in Patrick Bamford, and more players may leave Leeds, although Joe Gelhardt is just nearing a loan deal to Hull City.

Leeds has been connected to a few players in terms of new additions. Ben Davies of Tottenham is reportedly a target for the Whites, and Andrew Omobamidele was left off of Forest’s FA Cup roster.

However, Liverpool currently has a player on the books who is drawing a lot of interest during the January transfer window. That is even though Leeds offered to sign him from Celtic in 2022 before Liverpool did.
Ben Doak was offered more by Leeds United than by Liverpool.
Ben Doak, a speed machine, is now on loan at Middlesbrough. Leeds and Liverpool were interested in signing six-time Scotland star Doak, who had played twice for Celtic at the senior level, but the winger chose Anfield instead.

This is the case even if Leeds outbid Liverpool for Doak. He has since played ten senior games for Liverpool, and Michael Carrick enticed the Scottish star to join Middlesbrough last summer.

He has contributed to eight goals in his 21 appearances for Middlesbrough this season, making him a standout player. The winger has contributed six assists and two goals for Carrick‘s team, drawing Premier League interest.
At £30 million, Ben Doak might now be one of January’s biggest acquisitions.
The Guardian claims that Palace and Ipswich made initial approaches of less than £20 million for Doak, but The Sun now claims that Bournemouth is leading the race to get the player, whom Jurgen Klopp called “special.”
According to the most recent rumor, Liverpool wants to pay a staggering £30 million for Doak to go. If he had joined Leeds, things could have turned out differently, but the determined star is a serious player who is thriving on Teesside.

Victor Orta was skilled at signing young players who have gone on to excel, something Leeds frequently does. Examples include Pascal Struijk, Crysencio Summerville, and others; Doak might have been another.
