Liverpool set a’minimum asking price’ for Salah as former CEO predicts forward ‘will go’ to Saudi Arabia.

Liverpool has set a’minimum price’ for star attacker Mohamed Salah, amid reports that he ‘will go’ to Saudi Arabia this summer.

The Reds are aware that Jurgen Klopp will leave the club at the conclusion of the season to take a vacation from football management, as announced in January.
It remains to be seen whether there will be any further upheaval following Klopp‘s departure, with suspicions circulating that Salah may follow the Liverpool boss out the door at Anfield.

Last summer, Saudi Arabia showed considerable interest in Salah, with Al-Ittihad submitting a €150 million deal, which was quickly rejected by the Premier League club.

It was reported that Al-Ittihad could increase their bid to €200 million before the end of the window, but Liverpool made it clear that they would not trade Salah for any amount of money.

But talk about Salah‘s future has reignited, with former Aston Villa and Everton CEO Keith Wyness predicting that the Liverpool forward ‘will go to Saudi’ based on what he’s heard.
Liverpool have obviously paid Mo Salah‘s amortisation down,” Wyness told Football Insider. “There will be money available if he goes this summer.

“I believe he will travel to Saudi Arabia, based on what I understand. They will have a decent pot, but who is the new manager and how will he evaluate the squad?

“Where does he believe they need to be strengthened?” They’ve got some fantastic young talent rising who are starting to show they can do a decent job, so maybe some of the spots he thought he needed to fill with high-priced players aren’t as urgent.”

According to Spanish daily Fichajes, Liverpool has set a’minimum price’ for Salah, with the Reds ‘ready to trade him for more than £100m’ this summer.

Other rumours in the previous week have claimed that Liverpool will consider offers for Luis Diaz provided they can agree on a new contract with Salah.

However, transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano noted in his Caught Offside column: “There is a lot of talk about probable transfers at Liverpool, but I wouldn’t link Mo Salah‘s predicament to Luis Diaz, honestly.

“Also, with no director and no new manager yet, it is completely false that Liverpool is developing clear strategies for any player or exit.

“The priority is a new director, followed by a new manager, and last an agreed-upon approach for players.

“There is nothing occurring right now.

Liverpool will make one last attempt to persuade and convince Michael Edwards to return to the club.” FSG, Liverpool’s owners, have already tried, but he declined since he is content with his current situation.

“So far, nothing solid, but Liverpool will try again, and this will be the final attempt. Otherwise, they will move on in March.”They aim to select a new manager for the football club and then hire a new director of football.

“The Liverpool board structure will change and as soon as they have this structure in place, they will move onto the new manager.”
