A Premier League footballer who was caught speeding on the M56 in Cheshire has been fined £3,610 in court.
Liverpool midfielder Dominik Szoboszlai, of Alderley Edge, was caught speeding in a Bentley on the M56 in Warrington just after midnight on September 22, 2018.
A camera caught the 23-year-old Hungarian going over the 70mph speed limit on the eastern stretch of the road between junctions 11 and 7.
Chester magistrates deemed the charge proved after hearing the evidence at a previous hearing on December 21, last year.
Szoboszlai, Hungary‘s national team captain, was condemned on March 6, after the case was deferred on January 29 of this year.
The offender was fined £2,500, ordered to pay £1,000 in costs, and a £110 victim surcharge.
His driver’s licence was endorsed with six points.
