Luka Vušković, a young player for Tottenham Hotspur, won praise for his performance on his KVC Westerlo debut.
The 17-year-old Vušković has signed a season-long loan agreement with Belgian Pro League team KVC Westerlo, with plans to join Spurs the following summer in a deal rumored to be worth approximately £12 million. He scored three goals in 14 appearances during his second half of the previous season in Poland while on loan at Radomiak Radom.
Vušković, a central defender, is 6’4″ tall. He now plays for the Croatian U19 team, having earned five caps for the U15, U16, U17, and U19 squads.
Born in Split, Vušković attended the academy of his hometown team, Hajduk Split, which Ivan Perišić recently joined. It came as a surprise when he made his debut in February 2023, two days after turning 16 years old, and became the joint youngest player in Croatian top flight history.
Vušković, who was only 16 years and 5 days old, scored in a 2-1 Croatian football cup triumph three days later.
With a strong individual showing and three points, three goals, and, most importantly, a clean sheet to start with for both Westerlo and Vušković, it was the ideal start for the player in Belgium.
