Lyle Taylor has not yet found a club after leaving the Reds, according to the most recent Nottingham Forest news from NottinghamshireLive.
After his recent stint with Sheffield Wednesday ended in disappointment, former Nottingham Forest player Lyle Taylor is still without a new club.
In September, the 33-year-old was seen at one of the Championship team’s games after exercising with them.
A decision had not yet been taken by former Owls manager Xisco Munoz, who had acknowledged he was no longer working with the team.
Taylor’s short stay at Hillsborough didn’t develop into anything more because of the manager change.
“I’ve been a pundit and commentary for two years, but at the end of the day, I’m 33 years old, physically fit, and still capable of scoring goals. The fact that the goal stays put shows that I can still score goals. I know some may argue that the standards aren’t the same when I leave for international duty, but the ball needs to be put in the net.”
“All I can do is wait and hope for a positive outcome. I’m kind of in an unfortunate situation where I have to maintain myself in order in the hopes that someone will knock on my door till anything does happen.”
The striker signed as a free agent in the summer of 2020 and left the City Ground after three years. He was left out of Steve Cooper’s 25-man squad, and he spent the second half of his previous season on loan at Birmingham City.
