Lyon have began negotiations with Leeds United about signing French youth international striker Georginio Rutter from the English Championship club, as they prepare for the possibility of losing winger Bradley Barcola to PSG, according to Téléfoot.
The 21-year-old joined the Yorkshire club from Hoffenheim in the January transfer window, but has struggled to adjust to English football thus far.
Lyon are also in talks with Ligue 2 club ESTAC Troyes about the probable signing of Mama Baldé. The agreement is not contingent on any departures, and OL intends to sign him as an understudy to captain Alexandre Lacazette.
Lyon‘s transfer window has been stymied all summer after the club failed to produce a sufficient budget to French football’s financial watchdog – the DNCG – in June, resulting in a sanction of being unable to spend more than they make during current season.
