Major update on Ange Postecoglou’s Tottenham future; according to sources

Ange Postecoglou was disappointed with the way the season ended at Tottenham, but he will continue at the club despite his recent furious diatribe.

On the latest episode of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, senior journalist Pete O’Rourke stated that Postecoglou, 58, will fulfil his long-term commitment to Spurs and strive to take them to the next level.

Frustration bubbled out after the 2-0 loss to Manchester City, but Postecoglou’s rant was aimed at the board as a plea for investment to improve his team.

This comes after some Tottenham fans expected the Australian to resign after his diatribe was compared to Antonio Conte’s shortly before the former manager left last season.

Ange Postecoglou to remain at Tottenham despite recent fury.

The manager was angry following the defeat to Manchester City, which Spurs fans applauded since it reduced Arsenal’s prospects of winning the league.

Tottenham’s failure also meant they missed out on Champions League qualification, which enraged Postecoglou.

Spurs, who have only won two of their previous eight games, appear to be on track for fifth place, however defeat to Sheffield United on the last day might allow rivals Chelsea to finish ahead of them.

Despite his frustration, the manager plans to enhance his squad over the summer and lead Tottenham to the next level next season.

According to Football Insider, the squad will undergo significant changes during the transfer window, with nine first-team players slated to depart.

Meanwhile, former Tottenham Hotspur custodian Paul Robinson has told Football Insider that “exciting” signings will arrive at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
