Manchester United are allegedly adding Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino to their shortlist of potential replacements for Erik ten Hag.

This season, the former Ajax boss has been embarrassed in both the Premier League and the Champions League.

Not only have the results been uneven, but Manchester United’s playing style has been dismal.

Manchester United has established a shortlist of prospective possible managers.

According to reports, the Manchester United boss admires the Australian manager and is willing to go above and beyond to get the best man in the Old Trafford hot seat.

Postecoglou has made a significant impact at Tottenham since his arrival last summer, making the team more competitive and bringing them closer to Champions League qualification.

Postecoglou has led the club to 17 wins in 31 games this season, and Spurs are currently fifth in the Premier League standings, trailing Aston Villa in fourth.

The Tottenham manager has been named to a 10-man shortlist that comprises some of the world’s greatest managers.

Gareth Southgate, Graham Potter, Roberto De Zerbi, Thomas Frank, Thomas Tuchel, Julen Lopetegui, Zinedine Zidane, Ruben Amorin, and Julian Nagelsmann round out the shortlist.

Can Ten Hag still rescue his job at Manchester United?

There is continual conjecture about Ten Hag’s position at the club. The Red Devils have struggled to reproduce their form from last season.

However, there is some silver lining to Manchester United‘s poor season. The Dutch manager has led them to the FA Cup semifinals for the second season in a row.

The Manchester United boss believes he still has time to establish himself following a challenging season. He has just over a year left on his contract with the club.

Winning the FA Cup and qualifying for the Champions League next season may allow him to extend his time at Old Trafford.
