Ange Postecoglou’s team got off to a shaky start when Rasmus Hojlund placed Man United ahead after three minutes. Spurs, on the other hand, remained composed and swiftly equalized with a Richarlison header.

Rashford’s brilliant finish put United back in ahead before halftime, but Spurs drew level only 50 seconds into the second half thanks to Rodrigo Bentancur’s strike, keeping the two teams eight points apart. Despite being without several of their key players, Tottenham enjoyed 64% possession and the most of the opportunities.

However, Rashford had a different perspective on the game. The England attacker took to Instagram and posted, “Gutted not to get the three points today.”

Given that Spurs led for the majority of the game, few would argue that Man United were unlucky to only draw. Following the final whistle, Sky Sports analyst Gary Neville suggested that Spurs may finish ahead of Liverpool and Arsenal, while Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou praised his team.

“It was an outstanding effort and I thought some of our football was fantastic,” he told reporters. “I felt we were unlucky not to win the game. Regardless of it, the boys’ performance and effort were excellent.”
