Max Aarons believes the Spurs have ‘unbelievable’ potential in their ranks

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder James Maddison has been regarded as a “unbelievable” player who “lifts the players around him” by Bournemouth’s Max Aarons.

Between 2016 and 2018, both the Spurs playmaker and the Cherries full-back were on the books at Norwich.

Aarons reminisced his time playing with Maddison on the YouTube channel FilthyFellas.

“He is unbelievable,” Aarons remarked of Tottenham’s player. “You’d all noticed it, but it’s his confidence on the pitch.”

“I believe his confidence lifts the players around him because he always wants the ball, even when under pressure.”

“He is technically unbelievable, but I love his mindset too.”

While Maddison joined Leicester in 2018 before moving to Tottenham this summer, Aarons remained with Norwich until this summer, when he joined Bournemouth.

Both athletes have had successful careers in the game. Maddison had an immediate impact at Spurs after joining from Leicester, and his injury-forced absence is felt at N17.

Similarly, Aarons swiftly established himself in his new club’s first-team after becoming a Norwich legend, but he, too, is currently on the sidelines due to a hamstring injury.

Tottenham Hotspur’s missing piece is James Maddison.

Tottenham appears to have found their missing piece in Maddison. They now have a Christian Eriksen-type player back in their lineup.

He’s been so outstanding that he and Son Heung-min have essentially ensured Harry Kane hasn’t been missed since moving to Bayern Munich.

It’s too bad Maddison is currently healing from an ankle injury. Let’s hope he can regain his fitness soon and begin leading Spurs‘ march back to the top of the game.
