Millwall makes a January transfer bid for Charlie Cresswell, and Leeds United shares a stance

Several teams have made offers to Leeds United for Charlie Cresswell, according to Beren Cross.

The LeedsLive reporter stated in a tweet on Tuesday, January 16, that he believes a permanent departure is likely.
Among the teams reportedly considering an offer for Cresswell, who has struggled to get playing time under Daniel Farke, is Millwall.

According to the source, Cresswell’s departure may potentially “ignite a flurry of essential business for Leeds” in the latter part of the window.

Give him a break.

Given that he has only started one league game this season, Cresswell does not have a future at Elland Road under Farke’s leadership.

The defender was completely left out of the starting lineup for Saturday’s (January 13) 3-0 victory against Cardiff City.

It’s been said that while other teams are expressing interest in Cresswell, none of their proposals have come close to what Leeds is demanding.

Yet, the Whites cannot afford to lose out on a fee while continuing to have an unsatisfied player on their roster.

In addition, it is unfair to Cresswell that his career is being impeded when he could be performing frequently abroad.

If a deal is struck with another team, the money should be immediately reinvested in the team.

Prioritizing a full-back is imperative before the window closes, following the termination of Djed Spence’s loan arrangement.

In any case, this update indicates that throughout the following two weeks, Elland Road will likely see some additional inward and outbound traffic.
