New Tottenham 2024/25 Nike home kit with twist pictures revealed will bring back memories.

The first sight of what is purported to be the new Tottenham Hotspur home shirt for the 2024/25 season has surfaced online, and it’s a smart-looking one.

Photos circulating on social media claiming to depict the Tottenham Hotspur home shirt for next season have been received well, even if they bring up memories of a difficult season.

Earlier this week, the color design for Spurs’ home Nike uniform for the 2024/25 season was revealed, with the sleeve cuffs featuring navy white striping and the shorts returning to the navy after being all white this season. Now several photos—shown in the gallery below—have emerged on the social media network X, formerly known as Twitter. Showcasing what is claimed to be the home shirt, with a small twist not seen in nearly 20 years, which has been received well by those who have seen the photographs.

That change is navy sleeves, which Tottenham have not sported on their white home shirt since the 2005/06 season under Martin Jol when they wore Kappa shirts with navy trim along the sides of the trunk of the top. That season brought back European football to the north London club for the first time in years, but it also ended with the infamous ‘Lasagne-gate’ game at West Ham, where an illness virus infected the Spurs squad on the eve of that lost final game and did not qualify for the Champions League. In the 2020/21 season, the north London club added a tint of navy to the shoulders and sleeves of their home shirt.

Cabby’s Collection uploaded a series of photographs of what is alleged to be the next Tottenham home shirt online, and it appears to be a smart new Nike shirt, with navy sleeves and collar, as well as navy trim down the side of the trunk, similar to the 2005/6 shirt. The collar is an overlap design that Nike has employed on a lot of new national team uniforms this year.

Spurs secured a lucrative contract with Nike in 2017 and extended it the following year to a 15-year pact that would stretch until at least 2033, making it one of the oldest football club deals in the sportswear giant’s history. According to reports at the time, the north London club would get roughly £30 million per season from the pact.

Tottenham usually releases their new home shirt in June or July, in preparation for their lucrative summer tours abroad, but they may try to unveil it sooner this time to coincide with their post-season friendly against Newcastle in Melbourne later next month.

Examine closely the photographs of what appears to be next season’s home jersey below.
