Newcastle, Liverpool, and Tottenham battle it out for a £60 million Premier League player

Following his expression of interest in a fresh challenge away from Brentford, Bryan Mbeumo is apparently being watched closely by a number of Premier League clubs, including Tottenham Hotspur, according to HITC.

In 2019, Mbeumo became a member of Brentford during their time in the Championship. He has progressively grown into one of the Premier League’s most dangerous attackers since then.

The Frenchman had an exceptional 2023–24 season. He is primarily a right winger but can also play as a number nine or ten. Mbeumo stepped up while Ivan Toney was suspended, concluding the season with 25 league appearances, nine goals, and six assists.

The 25-year-old acknowledged that he felt prepared to move on to a larger club in a recent interview. Spurs are among the elite teams that have apparently been alerted by this declaration.

Intermediaries have reportedly told Tottenham, Liverpool, and Newcastle United that Mbeumo is amenable to a transfer. This information is according to HITC.

Brentford, though, seems reluctant to lose their standout forward. It is anticipated that Thomas Frank’s team will ask for more than £50 million in payment for Mbeumo. Brentford will be desperate to hang onto Mbeumo because Ivan Toney is expected to go this summer. They may even up the asking price to almost £60 million.

Mbeumo is a very appealing prospect despite his hefty valuation, which may turn off many potential bidders due to his flexibility and demonstrated Premier League experience.

A player of Mbeumo’s calibre joining Tottenham might greatly increase their options for attack. Spurs and their supporters should expect an exciting summer transfer window as they work to bolster their roster for the forthcoming year.
