Newcastle plan to make a bargain deal for a 26-year-old Tottenham target

Newcastle United are looking into a potential summer move for Tosin Adarabioyo, who is poised to depart Fulham on a free transfer.

According to The Telegraph, Newcastle United is looking for cheap defenders in the market, with Tosin Adarabioyo being one of their top targets in that regard. The soon-to-be-free Fulham defender has numerous suitors, including Manchester United, Liverpool, and Tottenham.

Newcastle United are considering signing Tosin Adarabioyo.

In January, the transfer market revealed a different aspect, with clubs scarcely moving an inch towards acquiring new players due of PSR requirements. The summer window may surprise some, as some major spending entities may tighten their purse strings, but the problem remains.

Newcastle United has faced criticism for this, and despite having numerous injury difficulties, they have rarely entered the recruitment market. Some new troubles with their defenders may have already derailed their plans for the summer, as Eddie Howe will want to address the flaws in his centre defensive.

Sven Botman and Jamal Lascelles have sustained long-term injuries that might sideline them for more than nine months. Newcastle United has other priorities with their restricted cash, therefore they are looking for bargains. Tosin Adarabioyo has come on their radar, with the Fulham star likely to leave the club on a free transfer.

Signing the 26-year-old defender would allow them to reinvest their finances in other critical areas, such as bringing in a new midfielder and centre striker. Bringing the soon-to-be-free Fulham player may prove difficult, as the centre-back has a number of high-profile suitors vying for his signature.

Manchester United, Liverpool, and Tottenham are after Adarabioyo.
A number of Premier League clubs are pursuing Adarabioyo due to his experience and the cost of purchasing the 26-year-old defender. Manchester United have numerous defensive issues and will face a scarcity of centre-backs this summer as some of their current players go.

Tottenham have been pursuing Adarabioyo since last summer and may finally make a bid to sign him on a free transfer. Liverpool are also looking for an extra defender to potentially replace Joel Matip, who could leave at the end of the season. As a result, Newcastle United will face numerous challenges in signing Adarabioyo this summer.
