Nuno Espirito Santo, who was given a red card against Brighton the previous weekend, has stated that he will be ‘available’ on the touchline on Saturday.
Furthermore, the Forest manager reaffirmed the significance of the City Ground in terms of enhancing their home performance and their desire ‘to pay back to the supporters’ for all their faith demonstrated. Nottingham Forest, who have had an amazing start to the season, will be hoping to maintain their unbeaten record when they host Fulham at the City Ground.
With goals from two of their new acquisitions, the Cottagers defeated Newcastle United 3-1 in their most recent game, demonstrating their talent through their successful summer recruitment campaign. Emile Smith Rowe, a 24-year-old who has already scored two goals and provided an assist, has provided Marco Silva‘s team with a pathway to attack and generate opportunities. Star midfielder Morgan Gibbs-White, who was sent off against Brighton last weekend for a highly contentious tackle that many perceived as a legitimate challenge, will not be playing for Forest. Referee Rob Jones also gave Nuno Espirito Santo his marching orders for his post-incident protests on the touchline.
Nuno said,
“The charge has been made, but I will be able to attend the game. We are still awaiting the outcome.”
The Nottingham Forest manager was charged by the FA for “acting in an improper manner and having used abusive and insulting words towards a match official,” but he will manage on the touchline this Saturday because of the continuing inquiry.
“Sometimes, it’s really hard for the manager to keep their emotions in check. It occurs with many managers. It’s an emotive game, with an emotional scenario that arises during play. Although it can be difficult at times, I felt that my apology for my actions was received. I promise not to do it again.”
After drawing their two games at the City Ground this season, the Reds need to make a statement in front of their fans. The confidence gained from wins away at Anfield and St Mary’s has been confirmed, and three points on Saturday might move Forest closer to the Champions League berths.
Nuno remarked, “The City Ground is so special for us. We would like to repay them for all of their help. Sadly, this season we haven’t yet accomplished this. This Saturday might be a nice day to accomplish it. Playing, outpacing your opponent, staying small, having fun, letting our talent show, and providing our talented players with time and space.” Play the game with the knowledge that we are prepared and that the opposition is formidable.”
The Forest manager thinks that his team needs to continue being consistent even though they haven’t lost yet if they want to finish around the top of the table all season.
“I’ve always thought there’s room for development. Maintaining our current level of performance is difficult in football and during the season.
We have been able to achieve that with options and answers up to this point, but you never know what the future holds. We don’t cast our eyes too far forward.
“On Saturday, we now have an opportunity. We still need to be ready for the training session. I think the players and the team will get along better and perform better with time. We want this, and time, I think, helps.”
- Rejoined Raul
Raul Jimenez of Fulham is a forward who might lead the Cottagers’ line in Saturday’s match.
After joining from Benfica, the Mexican international made a strong impression on Nuno’s Wolves team by scoring 17 goals in his debut year in England.
When Jimenez was hurt during a match against Arsenal, Nuno was also in charge. The medics told Jimenez that his survival was “miraculous.”
Now that he is back playing regularly, the 33-year-old has scored in both of the games he has started, including a goal against Newcastle in less than five minutes.
“Every time we run into former players, we become really excited. After working together, we became friends and experienced several significant events together. Raul’s return to football is always special because of the incident, and it’s wonderful to watch him play and enjoy himself.
He will be the one facing us. Although I am genuinely happy to see him loving football, we must be prepared to stop him.”

Fulham’s prolific striker from Forest is one way to halt him. With three goals in the first five games of the season, Chris Wood has been in incredible form.
The forward, who was born in Auckland, has emerged as a key member of the squad both on and off the field.
“He’s an excellent striker and a top professional. I keep saying that he is important to the team and his teammates in addition to his goals, actions, voice in the locker room, and everything else. We are overjoyed. It’s self-assurance. We have faith in him, so hopefully he keeps going.”
The fans of Forest will be hopeful that he can continue his excellent form into Saturday’s encounter and preserve the unbeaten streak that the Reds are still maintaining after five games.
