The officials for Chelsea’s Premier League match against Brighton & Hove Albion at Stamford Bridge on Sunday afternoon have been confirmed.
Mauricio Pochettino and Roberto De Zerbi square off in the capital, with both looking to take all three points for different reasons. Chelsea was thrashed by Newcastle United in their last game, while Brighton have gone seven games without losing.
The mood in Chelsea’s dressing room was angry and disappointed, but the reaction from the squad at their Cobham training ground has been positive after a “tough week.”
“It was good the week to realise what we need to improve, to be more mature,” said Mauricio Pochettino.
“I am very happy so far, even though training and meetings have been extremely difficult.” These situations can sometimes help a lot to improve.”
Pochettino insists Chelsea’s problem is more internal than external, and he wanted to make sure his players understood how they needed to apply themselves against Brighton, Manchester United, and the rest of the season.
“We are our own worst adversaries.” We must concentrate on ourselves. Brighton will not be the problem. In this process, we must focus on ourselves rather than the opponent.”
The Premier League has now revealed the officials for the league meeting ahead of the match.
