Overworked Rangers duo to reap the benefits as the much-missed creative Ibrox trio returns

Rangers’ much-discussed injury troubles go far beyond the Ibrox physio’s room.

While some Rangers players have suffered from long-term injuries, the impact is also felt by those who are currently playing for the team.

As three of Rangers’ most exciting attacking players prepare to return, two of the club’s players stand to benefit the most.

Rangers have bolstered their medical team with the recruitment of a new head physio from Aberdeen.

Rangers duo suffer the impact of busy schedule.

According to Philippe Clement, Vaclav Cerny and Nedim Bajrami are suffering the effects of a demanding schedule for both club and country.

Cerny, a Czech winger, and Bajrami, an Albanian playmaker, are important players for both their clubs and their countries, and they have been nearly constant in Philippe Clement‘s team in recent weeks.

Exposure to Rangers’ unrelenting schedule has been clear recently, particularly against St Johnstone at the weekend, when both Cerny and Bajrami struggled to make an impression.

Clement believes that Rangers’ return of all their attacking players will increase the Ibrox side’s inventiveness, allowing both of these players to rest while others come into the side.

Nedim (Bajrami) has been playing a lot on the left side,” Clement informed the media before the trip to Nice. “He is capable of playing there as well as in the middle.

“And Nedim and Vaclav (Cerny) had to play every game, including with the national squad. So those are the factors taken into consideration.

“Getting all these players back will raise also our freshness in our offensive part and will raise our creativity.”

Creative Rangers trio is closing in on returns.
Rangers fans will want to see some of their more creative players return sooner rather than later.

During the same press conference, Philippe Clement confirmed that Welsh playmaker Tom Lawrence is getting closer to fitness.

The 30-year-old has struggled with injuries throughout his Rangers career, but this season has seen him play his most consistent football at Ibrox.

In addition to Lawrence, the Rangers are expecting to welcome back Oscar Cortes and Rabbi Matondo.

These two young, eager wide players should provide plenty of pace and inventiveness, allowing Clement to rotate players like Nedim Bajrami and Vaclav Cerny.

When you add in Ross McCausland, who has had his own injury issues this season, and Ianis Hagi’s return, the Rangers suddenly have more choices than ever.

The challenge, as it has been since Philippe Clement joined Rangers, is to keep them all fit.
