Fabio Paratici, Tottenham’s unofficial club advisor, has recommended a £50 million player to chairman Daniel Levy to replace a likely departure from Ange Postecoglou’s side.

According to Postecoglou, north Londoners need to make “drastic” changes this summer. Tottenham are reportedly willing to sell around a dozen players when the window reopens, which would undoubtedly launch the rebuild.

Emerson Royal, Bryan Gil, Giovani Lo Celso, Troy Parrott, Joe Rodon, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, Richarlison, Tanguy Ndombele, Sergio Reguilon, Japhet Tanganga, Manor Solomon, and Djed Spence have all been linked with a move to Tottenham this summer, with Postecoglou reportedly looking to improve the squad overall.

The Australian also believes it will take several transfer windows to transform Spurs into a complete force.

“We haven’t had any European football this year, so if you’ve got European football as well it’s impossible to try to maintain a level of performance in the Premier League and play in multiple competitions unless you have a strong squad,” Postecoglou remarked regarding the arrival of new players.

“That’s probably the most difficult because it can’t be done in one, two, or three windows unless you have a really good foundation to begin with. It takes time, players evolve, and some leave, since by the time you reach the sweet spot when you’re ready for success, some of the important players may no longer be available.

“It’s a perpetual reinforcement of your squad, trying to fill up the gaps. We had two windows to begin the process. It will take us several windows to get to that point. I believe we’ve done well with our windows thus far. I believe the business we’ve done thus far has been terrific, but we’ll need to be that good all the time if we’re to bridge that gap.”

Tottenham are reportedly looking to rebuild their midfield, particularly given the uncertainty surrounding Hojbjerg, Lo Celso, and Bissouma’s futures at the moment. Spurs have been linked with a deal for Chelsea’s Conor Gallagher, but he is far from the only option.

Paratici advises Levy to sign Ederson for Tottenham.

According to The Mirror, Hojbjerg is set to be sold by Spurs, who have been urged to sign Atalanta star Ederson as a £50 million replacement.

Paratici has personally suggested Ederson to Tottenham, following the Brazilian’s successful season with Gian Piero Gasperini. He also played a key role in their Europa League final win over Bayer Leverkusen, handing Xabi Alonso his only defeat of the season.

Former Atalanta star German Denis has hailed Ederson as his “most important” player, while South American football guru Tim Vickery also hails the 24-year-old.

“A 24-year-old, powerful, well-built central midfielder. Strong on the ball and adaptable from box to box. Vickery said, “Strong personality as well.”
