Leeds has now said farewell to seven senior loan players. Max Wober, Rasmus Kristensen, Diego Llorente, Marc Roca, Br Aaronson, Robin Koch, and £11 million Jack Harrison, who is on loan at Everton.

More could happen. Tyler Adams‘ contract includes a £20 million release clause, however Willy Gnonto‘s contract does not include this loan clause. But LeedsLuis Sinisterra, Junior Firpo, and other first-team players do. More are on the way.

However, there is one more abroad. FIFA allows seven overseas loans for players above the age of 21; Leeds currently has six. Victor Orta has been appropriately chastised for introducing these loan terms. It has put us in a terrible position.

However, Hay has explained why these stipulations are in the contracts, and it makes some sense. Leeds‘ pay cost, which was a whopping £10 million per month last season, has been drastically lowered, with Hay saying it has been cut in half.

Following relegation, some players’ earnings were lowered by as much as 60%. Leeds has been able to comply with Financial Fairplay while also saving money as a result of this. However, in order to persuade players to accept, the loan provision was incorporated.

Roundabouts and swings. It is a quick and reliable way of cutting a pay bill that was far too high for English football’s second tier. It is now in a manageable stage. However, it means that we have lost a significant number of guys for nothing.
