Player is pushing for a transfer to the Whites and “definitely wants to go” to Leeds United.

Kicker said on Monday that 1. FC Köln isn’t persuaded by Leeds United’s €4 million offer for Dejan Ljubičić.

Leeds is expected to need to submit a stronger bid in order to secure the 26-year-old this summer. Tuesday’s Bild quotes Kicker as saying that the midfield player “definitely wants to go to Leeds United.”

It has been reported that Christian Keller, the sports director of Köln, declined the Whites’ €4 million offer. Less than a year remains on the contract of the Austrian international. He was offered an extension by the German second division team some weeks ago, but he declined.

The player is reportedly “pushing hard” for a transfer to the Yorkshire club and “still wants to leave.” Daniel Farke’s team might benefit from this as they pursue Ljubičić.

Leeds is in a better position to get him because this window would be Köln’s last chance to get a fair price, but they still need to put in more work to sign him.

Bild claims that Keller “may become weak” in the event that Daniel Farke’s team made a better offer. The amount that has to be paid for the Championship team to persuade Köln is left out.
