Pochettino may irritate Chelsea fans with what he has said about’special club’ Tottenham

Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino has opened up about his time at Tottenham Hotspur.

The Argentine manager acknowledged his disappointment at not winning a trophy with the North London team.

Tottenham came close to winning titles during his tenure at the club. They competed for the league title and made it to the UEFA Champions League final.

Pochettino thinks that his squad was very near to greatness and that he would have liked to give silverware to the fans. The Argentine manager went on to describe Tottenham as a rare club capable of achieving its goals.

He told TNT Sports (via Spurs Web): “It’s difficult to discuss now because this will always be a cherished club for me. I need to reiterate that I left the club because I was fired.

“We accomplished something; we were so close but missed the final step. That was unfortunate and disappointing since we wanted to win. We wanted to bring it to the supporters and lift the trophy. It is a club that has one of the top facilities, including a training ground and stadium. It is possible for them to fulfil their goals.”

Given the rivalry between the two teams, his statements may irritate Chelsea supporters. Furthermore, Chelsea is currently experiencing difficulties, and Pochettino’s future at the club appears to be doubtful.

Despite receiving a lot of support during the summer transfer window, the Argentine has struggled to get the most out of his players. Chelsea were anticipated to compete for UEFA Champions League qualification this season, but they are presently 11th in the league table with only nine wins in 23 league games.

It is just unacceptable for a club of Chelsea’s size and resources, and it will be intriguing to see if they can recover quickly and finish the season on a positive note.
