Freiburg are interested in signing Wilfried Gnonto this summer but are unable to pay Leeds United’s asking price of £21.5 million.

According to Bild, Freiburg have identified Gnonto as one of their top attacking targets before the transfer window closes, with the 19-year-old reportedly interested in the move.
Due to their inability to reach a deal with Leeds, River Plate‘s Lucas Beltran has surfaced as an alternative target, albeit the Argentine club is expected to seek a fee comparable to that of Gnonto.

There is increased hope that a deal may be struck for Beltran, with River Plate allegedly gradually decreasing their asking price, which could help Leeds retain Gnonto.

San Francisco 49ers Enterprises is desperate to keep Gnonto at Elland Road this season and appears to have fended off Everton‘s approach, but never say never.
