The Sun has revealed that Southampton are planning a summer deal for Jack Clarke, with Tottenham potentially benefiting from the player’s sell-on clause.
While Clarke failed to impress during his three seasons at Tottenham after joining from Leeds United in 2019, the midfielder appears to have matured over the last two years at the Stadium of Light.
Spurs would profit from Jack Clarke’s sale.
Unsurprisingly, the former Tottenham Hotspur player is considered to be on the radar of several clubs, including Southampton, according to The Sun.
According to the article, if the Saints win promotion to the Premier League, they intend to spend £15 million to sign Clarke.
With a 25% sell-on clause on the winger, Tottenham would collect £3.7 million if the player moved for £15 million.
According to the site, Clarke wants another chance at the Premier League and would be willing to quit the Black Cats if Sunderland fails to gain promotion this season.
Brentford, Crystal Palace, and Lazio are among the clubs rumoured to be interested in the winger, in addition to Southampton.

Sunderland may be aiming to spark a bidding battle for the 20-year-old and sell him for close to £20 million, which would increase Spurs’ earnings by £5 million.
