Tottenham Hotspur are keeping an eye on 27-year-old VfB Stuttgart striker Serhou Guirassy, who wants to play in the Premier League, according to German tabloid BILD.
Dean Jones revealed to the Ranks FC podcast in October that Spurs were interested in the Guinea international forward. TEAMtalk also alleged a little over a month ago that Spurs were one of numerous sides across Europe keeping a close eye on the Guinea international ahead of the January international.
Newcastle have also been linked with Guirassy, according to Football Insider, while Nottingham Forest and Fulham are also interested. According to the report, the forward’s contract has a €17.5 million (£15.3 million) release clause.
The 27-year-old has appeared in 10 games for the German club this season, scoring 16 goals and giving two assists (Transfermarkt).
The race for Serhou Guirassy is becoming ‘wilder and wider’.
According to BILD, the battle for Guirassy’s signature is becoming “wilder and wider,” which might enable him “fulfil his dream” of playing in the Premier League.
Stuttgart also expects the player’s release clause to be met in January and has begun scouting for prospective replacements in the market, according to the publication. Tottenham would almost certainly be aware of the situation.

We have yet to find a substitute for Harry Kane. While picking Guirassy as the chosen one may not be a sensible decision, the 27-year-old has continued to score goals for pleasure since his January move to Stuttgart.
While his release clause is quite cheap, Spurs must not be seriously considering him as this could be a phase. He may also lack the versatility that one would expect from an Ange Postecoglou attacker. We’d be better off looking for a younger, more productive striker.
