Former Tottenham scout Bryan King has broached the idea of incorporating Brazilian striker Richarlison in a potential player-plus-cash transfer as speculation about his future heats up.

The Brazilian attacker has been the subject of transfer rumours, with reports indicating that Tottenham Hotspur are willing to trade him if the appropriate deal comes along.

Interest from numerous Saudi teams has fueled speculation, with possible suitors apparently willing to pay heavily, which may help Spurs recoup the £60 million they paid for Richarlison’s services in 2022.

Former Brazil forward Jose Ferreira Neto alleged that Richarlison is dissatisfied at Tottenham and wants to return to Brazil.

However, Richarlison has denied these allegations, officially confirming his intention to stay in England for the upcoming season.

Now, Bryan King has suggested that Tottenham could consider using Richarlison in a player-plus-cash trade.

In an interview with Tottenham News, King discussed the difficulties in finding a buyer ready to pay Daniel Levy’s value for the Brazilian striker.

King said:

“Who is going to pay the type of money Daniel Levy will want for him,”

“He will cost a lot of money, and selling him would result in a significant savings for the club.

“I can see him being utilised in a player-plus-cash transaction, particularly with a Premier League club.

“However, I can’t imagine there will be too many takers for him.”

Given Richarlison’s high price tag, King advocated inserting him into a trade with another Premier League team.

However, he recognised that finding suitors for such a deal could be difficult.

Richarlison has struggled to meet the expectations that have been placed on him at Tottenham since his high-profile move from Everton.

With the club apparently looking for alternatives in the transfer market, such as Dominic Solanke, Ivan Toney, and Chelsea’s Conor Gallagher, utilising Richarlison as a negotiating chip in possible transactions could be an appealing option for Tottenham.

Tottenham are considering their options in light of Richarlison’s uncertain future, and using him in a player-plus-cash deal might be a clever move to handle their transfer demands while maximising the Brazilian striker’s value.
