Sean Dyche, in Louis Saha’s opinion, has what it takes to steer Everton clear of relegation danger. After six games, the Toffees have four points after defeating Crystal Palace 2-1 at Goodison Park on Saturday to win their first Premier League encounter of the season.
That’s sufficient to keep the team out of the relegation zone for the time being, but following multiple crushing defeats earlier in the season, concerns about Dyche and the players still exist. Saha played at Everton for three and a half seasons more than ten years ago, so Dyche should have plenty of time to correct the ship after a difficult beginning. Saha said of the Everton manager:
“Sean Dyche is still the right man for Everton; you have to look at how well they would have done last season in the table if it weren’t for the points deductions.”
“Everton needs to achieve consistency, and the first step in doing so will be to eliminate the individual blunders that have lost them points and games.”
“In my opinion, the players need to improve because they are making mistakes that are penalized, and the manager needs to figure out a way to address it as well.”
“He is in charge of everything the players do, and while I believe he is an excellent communicator, there is now a problem.”
“Everton will improve, but it could not happen until the following season. They are a fantastic team, but sometimes having a rich past doesn’t work in your favor. The Premier League is an extremely competitive league, and the pressure will only increase.”
