SIMON JORDAN GIVES ONE-WORD RESPONSE ON WHETHER TOTTENHAM WILL BEAT LIVERPOOL

Ange Postecoglou, according to Simon Jordan, will continue his bright start to life at Tottenham Hotspur with a decisive Premier League victory over unbeaten Liverpool on Saturday evening.

Has there ever been a Premier League manager more certain to win over the famously outspoken former Crystal Palace chairman? He’s straight-talking and never afraid to speak his mind.

However, Simon Jordan is far from the only one who has fallen under Ange Postecoglou’s spell, with the immensely popular Tottenham Hotspur manager threatening to convert the London giants back into everyone’s favorite’second team’ once more.

Apart from those who support Arsenal, of course.

An impressive run of results only adds to the sense that Postecoglou – a league champion in Australia, Japan, and Scotland – is recapturing some of the Mauricio Pochettino magic, with Spurs perhaps unlucky to draw at the Emirates a few weeks after outclassing Manchester United.

Ange Postecoglou impressing at Tottenham

“I make the case that Postecoglou (in a couple of seasons) will have established within what he expects of Tottenham,” Jordan tells talkSPORT (27 September, 12.30pm); the former Celtic manager a welcome departure from Jose Mourinho’s and Antonio Conte’s mind-games and anguish.

“They gave him a four-year contract, which is different from what Mourinho and Conte received.” There’s a better match there. A more mature, less pretentious, and invested manager who can lead them ahead.”

“I believe there is a different dynamic at work.” Postecoglou has the charisma of Jurgen Klopp, but he does have the earthiness. “He is approachable.”

Spurs face Liverpool in North London

This weekend, Tottenham will face one of the most difficult early tests of Postecoglou’s tenure. Liverpool arrive in the city having won five of their first six Premier League games.

When asked to predict the winner of probably this season’s most intriguing match, Jordan was eager to back the man seeking to dethrone Kylie Minogue as the UK’s favourite Aussie.

We just can’t get you out of our brains, Ange…

“Spurs (will beat Liverpool),” Jordan predicts with customary confidence.
