Sky Sports duo makes a ruthless Leeds United player request in a new video.

Simeon Gholam and David Prutton of Sky Sports have made the “ruthless” decision to include Leeds United star Crysencio Summerville in their Championship team of the season thus far.

Crysencio Summerville

The Dutchman has been in superb form in recent weeks, winning the Championship Player of the Month award for October after scoring five goals and assisting three more as the Whites climbed to third place in the table.

His recent outstanding form earned him a spot in the Sky Sports duo’s team of the season so far, where they made the ruthless decision to replace Plymouth Argyle’s Morgan Whittaker with the Leeds United winger.

Morgan Whittaker made team one and team two, but he’s not making team three of the season so far,” Gholam said on Sky Sports (November 21). Ruthless, cut, and gone. Instead, we’re going with a man who has risen to prominence in recent weeks.”

Summerville Crysencio

“He’s part of a front four that I think on its day is possibly the best front four in the Championship,” Prutton explained. Crysencio Summerville is the player who is stepping forward, along with Georginio Rutter, Joel Piroe, and Daniel James.

“There was some speculation at the start of the season about him wanting to leave because he saw a lot of his teammates leave, but he stayed and it’s been mutually beneficial for both player and team because Leeds’ performances have improved and his ability to change games has improved.”

“His influence on games has grown, I’m just intrigued to see what happens in January.”

Willfried Gnonto

Some talent

Most Leeds United supporters and neutrals alike expected Wilfried Gnonto to be the Whites’ star man before a ball was kicked this season, owing to his impressive debut season in the Premier League, but Summerville has changed that.

This is a player who was heavily criticised by his manager last year, but since Leeds’ relegation to the Championship, the 22-year-old has gone from strength to strength and is now widely regarded as one of the division’s best players.

Prutton‘s assessment that Daniel Farke currently has the best front four in the division is difficult to disagree with, especially given that he has rested Gnonto, Patrick Bamford, and Jaidon Anthony for much of the season.
