According to sources speaking to Football Insider, Nottingham Forest is working hard to close a deal for AC Milan striker Divock Origi.

Late in the transfer window, Steve Cooper is eager to sign the 28-year-old forward in order to give his team more firepower. It is believed that Forest flew a medical team to Italy to speed up the deal-making process.

Burnley and Origi were in negotiations, according to a report from Football Insider published on Friday, 1 September, but Forest are currently in the lead for his services.
Origi is reportedly training away from Milan’s senior squad because he has lost favor at the Serie A club.

The Italian team is eager to offload the Belgian striker in order to balance their books, and Forest sees Origi’s predicament as an ideal chance to bolster their team.
