According to reports cited by Football Insider, Max Aarons will have a Bournemouth physical on Thursday, August 10, after they scuttled a deal with Leeds United to acquire him.
For a package of more than £10 million, Leeds and Norwich City had reached an agreement for the England Under-21 international.
Aarons has decided to join the Premier League team in its place after Bournemouth made a last-minute manoeuvre to surprise United.
Before finalising the paperwork for the agreement, the 23-year-old will now have a physical with Bournemouth.
Aarons, who previously played under the incoming Leeds boss Daniel Farke at Norwich, is only one year into his Carrow Road contract.
Because of his success in both the Premier League and the Championship, he has become a top target for clubs in England and abroad this summer.
The Cherries’ sole hijacked transaction of the window would not be a deal for Aarons.
They are expected to sign the 19-year-old before Premier League opponent Wolves after both teams submitted multiple offers for the young player.
While City has been waiting for their £25 million valuation of their star midfielder to be reached, Bournemouth is outpacing Wolves in the battle to sign Scott.
The England youth international was also mentioned in connection with West Ham, although they are set to lose out to the Cherries.
