Spurs are pushing to sign forward after he stated a Tottenham switch may happen

The player teased a future move.

Tottenham are one of the clubs “pushing hardest” to recruit a “exceptional” forward, after the player publicly refused to rule out a move to north London.

In recent weeks, a few trustworthy media sources have suggested that Spurs are looking to sign a winger as one of their main summer acquisitions.

Indeed, high-profile players such as Premier League stalwarts Eberechi Eze and Pedro Neto have been linked with Spurs, while other reports have refused to rule out the idea of Club Brugge sensation Antonio Nusa joining Tottenham.

The interest in Nusa is consistent with Ange Postecoglou‘s desire for a new wide forward and the club’s aim to attract Europe’s most potential rising stars.

Postecoglou wants Tottenham to be a dream destination for young players, and so far, that dream is coming true. Swedish star Lucas Bergvall elected to join the club over European powers Barcelona in January, and the Lilywhites pulled off a dramatic hijack attempt on deadline day.

FC Copenhagen starlet Roony Bardghji is another player who would strengthen Postecoglou‘s wide area while also contributing to their squad’s potential.

The 18-year-old has been linked with a move to north London on several occasions, and he established a name for himself during Copenhagen‘s 4-3 Champions League group stage victory over Manchester United earlier this season.

When asked about following Bergvall to Spurs, Bardghji made a humorous proposal.

“It’s enjoyable to think about. You never know; it may happen. “Hard to say right now,” the winger told Sport Bladet.

Funnily enough, following this comment, HITC and journalist Graeme Bailey suggest Tottenham‘s interest in the teenager has increased. Spurs, along with Manchester United, Aston Villa, and Newcastle United, are believed to be “pushing hardest” to sign Bardghji.

Copenhagen are thought to value the winger at approximately £20 million, with the race to get him heating up ahead of the summer transfer window. Talks are reportedly ongoing with a number of teams through intermediaries, and it will be intriguing to see if Tottenham has enough appeal to outperform the competition.

“He has an understanding of the game, as well as good balance and coordination,” stated his under-17 coach in Sweden, Roger Franzen.

“He has great technique with the ball at his feet. It’s quite difficult to get the ball off him. He is effective one-on-one and has a good shooting. He can shoot with both feet, and while he is primarily left-footed, he can also finish with his right.”

His £20 million price tag is a clear indication of the player’s potential, but rising interest may prompt a summer auction.
