Spurs manager praises a specific player following an agent’s shocking interview.

Tottenham Hotspur’s 2-1 victory over Burnley keeps their chances of qualifying for the UEFA Champions League alive, if only just.

Meanwhile, the outcome means that Burnley will join Sheffield United in the Championship next season.

Burnley gave themselves a ray of hope for their Premier League survival prospects when Jacob Bruun Larsen’s attempt gave Vincent Kompany’s team the lead in the 25th minute after Sander Berge passed.

In a thrilling contest, Spurs promptly equalised when Pedro Porro sprinted into the box and slotted home in the 32nd minute.

Despite multiple opportunities, Tottenham had to wait until the 82nd minute for the game’s turning moment, when Micky van de Ven scored following great play by Dane Scarlett.

After the game, manager Ange Postecoglou complimented replacements like as Radu Dragusin, praising the 22-year-old’s strong cameo and critical late tackle.

“When Radu came on, I thought it was quite nice, and it helped us get over the line. Radu performed well, therefore the substitutions had an impact,” he told Football.London.
Dragusin, who has only had limited playing time at Tottenham, is patiently waiting for additional opportunities to establish himself.

Radu Dragusin’s agent suggests a Tottenham Hotspur departure for his client.

Meanwhile, Dragusin’s agent has expressed concern about his client’s lack of playing time at Spurs, hinting at a possible departure if the situation does not improve. Despite a transfer fee of £21.5 million, Dragusin has only started two Premier League games since entering in January.

The agent, speaking to Radio CRC [reported by Calcio Napoli], attacked manager Ange Postecoglou’s defensive stance, claiming that Dragusin’s abilities may help strengthen Tottenham’s backline.

“The coach has often stated that he does not want to play three (at the back); he knows better, yet he concedes a lot of goals for Tottenham.

“Playing with three gives you greater confidence that you will not concede too many goals. Tottenham concede a lot of goals from set pieces, thus I believe Dragusin will find a place in the future because Tottenham needs his force.

“If he doesn’t play we’ll have to think of other solutions.”

However, he admitted that it is still early days since Dragusin’s arrival and advised patience before contemplating other choices.
