Though the initial optimism has dissipated, Davies has noticed a significant improvement within the Tottenham dressing room, which he attributes to Postecoglou.
According to Davies, the former Celtic manager is transforming the club’s culture, like Ferguson did at Manchester United.
“I think it’s probably even underestimated what he’s done,” Davies said on Off The Shelf Podcast.
“On a daily basis, I observe…First of all, is he a great coach and manager?
“Yes. But, more crucially, I see, and you have asked me questions about Ferguson in the past.
“Ferguson changed the culture and I do believe that Ange is doing exactly that.”
Postecoglou’s work has been so well regarded that he has even been mentioned as a candidate to replace Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool.
Spurs will seek to retain the Australian, whose style of play has enthralled their fans.
