Spurs vs Arsenal takes a turn

Liverpool played West Ham at midday yesterday. They trailed 1-0, took the lead 2-1, and then let two crucial points slip away as West Ham equalised. Though, like us, I wouldn’t say Klopp’s club is officially eliminated from the Premier League title race, they did need to win all of their remaining games to have a chance of winning the league

The draw between Aston Villa and Chelsea in the evening’s game was fortunate for us because it means Aston Villa can no longer compete with us for points, much less pass us. Given their draw, Totts could finish in third or perhaps fourth, depending on how badly Liverpool does.

Today at 2pm, Arsenal travels to Totts for a brief match. Though for different reasons, both teams require a victory. Since their vacation to The Emirates earlier in the season, I haven’t seen a lot of Totts.

Adrian Clarke of Arsenal on what to anticipate from the national team:

Postecoglou has stated time and time again that his philosophy is unchangeable. They will attempt to play quick, possession-based football from a 4-2-3-1 alignment. Spurs are second only to Manchester City in terms of average ball share at over 62%, so we might need to spend some time preserving a strong form out of possession. In an attempt to clog space and disrupt our passing rhythm, they will squeeze their back four all the way to the halfway line when they are not touching the ball. When this tactic is successful, it may have a smothering effect. Spurs, who have the joint-best record in the division, statistically break up play with a defensive action every 8.8 passes. We can seem vulnerable and expose Tottenham’s high defensive line if we manage to play through the press.

A superb No. 10 in open play, James Maddison generates two opportunities every ninety minutes. Son Heung-Min is still a deadly finisher, and Brennan Johnson and Timo Werner counter with lightning speed. With this keyword, he has an astounding 28% conversion rate. Our task will be to keep the game inside Tottenham territory in order to calm down an irate home crowd. In order to meet our three objectives, we must provide our forwards with the highest caliber of service in cutting-edge fields.

Injuries:

The only player doubted for today’s game is Jurrien Timber, but at least he’s been practicing. In no way will his presence on the bench surprise me.

Udodge, Skipp, Forster, Sessegnon, and Solomon are not with the Totts. Porro and Richarlison should be back.

The animosity between the supporters of the two teams may be unmatched in the English game due to their long-standing rivalry. But today, scoring three points on the board is more important than winning a neighborhood derby or commemorating St Totts Day. We will remain in the running for the title with three points. We’re sure they’ll be back, and they still have everything to play for, especially with Champions League football in their eyes.

Earlier in the season, the match at The Emirates was quite evenly matched. Shortly after starting his new position, Ange Postecoglou was hailed as a football genius by the know-it-alls. Totts football was all about entertaining and attacking, and they were set to have a fantastic season. They can be terrific on their day, and I hope they perform brilliantly against Man City, but I also hope Mikel Arteta’s players are just too good today.

Totts had a two-week rest before this game. Newcastle United destroyed them 4-0 in their most recent match. Even if it happened at St. James Park, such a beating can completely demoralize any squad.

But Arsenal should be confident going into this match because they just destroyed Chelsea 5-0. Plenty of belief, not a hint of haughtiness. Our midfield will be crucial, and I believe that Rice needs to be partnered with either Jorginho or Partey. But I don’t think Zinchenko should play this game, at least not right away. Although Tomiyasu is my preference, it’s not really up to me, is it?

All I’ve heard about Totts is that they have a strong attacking lineup, but their defense has a lot of people wondering. If the ball manages to go past their tall defensive line, we might be in. After all, especially if Martinelli starts, it’s not like our attacking guys lack pace.

This afternoon, I hope we don’t give them anything. Not even a hint of Raya’s goal, and Michael Oliver, the referee, had not made a single decision. No holding back in front of goal, no mistakes for Totts to take advantage of. Be shrewd, persistent, and unforgiving.

Arsenal, go get these three enormous points that are up for grabs today.
