Tottenham are still interested in PSV Eindhoven midfielder Johan Bakayoko.
The 20-year-old is regarded as one of “Europe’s most exciting prospects.”
He has four goals and thirteen assists in 25 games this season across all competitions. Since making his senior debut for the Dutch club, he has 11 goals and 18 assists in 62 appearances.
His talents have piqued the interest of several prominent clubs, including Borussia Dortmund and Tottenham Hotspur.
Ange Postecoglou is thought to be interested in signing a striker in January, with the Belgian being one of the names being mentioned.
Former Tottenham Hotspur player Alan Hutton has already hailed the youngster, claiming that he would help Ange‘s side.
He stated to Football Insider:
“I still believe if Tottenham were to get a striker like Ivan Toney it takes them to the next level.”
“I think Son has done fantastically well, but he can also play in other positions, so a centre-forward would give them more options.”
“He’s very tricky, he’s got pace and power, he can score goals, so Spurs won’t shut the door on him.”
“If you have the opportunity to bring a player of that calibre into your club, you will improve.”
“I’d never turn it down if the fee was correct.”
Our Opinion:
Johan Bakayoko possesses all of the characteristics necessary to develop into a star, making him an excellent long-term investment for us.
He is primarily a right winger, but he can play either flank. His adaptability makes him an excellent Ange player.
