Tanguy Ndombele, a former Tottenham Hotspur player, has joined with a new club after completing his contract with Spurs last month.
The excellent midfielder has agreed to leave his parent club despite having a year left on his contract.
It concludes a miserable career with Spurs and may provide an opportunity to revitalise his stalled career.
Ndombele has joined for French club Nice after spending last season on loan at Turkish champions Galatasaray.
At Nice, he will attempt to replicate the form he showed for former club Lyon, which first put him on Europe’s radar in 2017.
He has already issued an emotional tribute to the club’s fans on Instagram, stating, “Thank you to the managers, staff, and teammates for this adventure that led us to the title of champions.”
The 27-year-old will reconnect with former sporting director Florian Maurice, whom he knows from their time at Lyon.
Before joining Galatasaray, Ndombele won the Italian league with Napoli in 2022-23.
