Napoli striker Victor Osimhen has picked Tottenham Hotspur’s Cristian Romero as the most difficult player he has ever faced.

The Nigerian is currently one of the top strikers in the world. He is an incredible talent, and a number of English clubs, notably Tottenham Hotspur, have been linked with a desire to sign him. If he ever joins the Spurs, he’ll be able to avoid playing against Romero.

Victor Osimhen has been a fantastic striker for several years. The Nigerian is widely regarded as the main reason Napoli won the Serie A title last season, their first in almost 30 years. He is the best striker in Italy right now, and there aren’t many defenders that can handle him comfortably.

 

Tottenham’s Cristian Romero, on the other hand, is not like any other defender, and when he’s on form, very few forwards can beat him.

The 25-year-old Argentine spent a few years in Italy before relocating to North London, and he faced Osimhen three times. Only one of those games saw the Nigerian score.

Osimhen has now showed Romero the respect he deserves by speaking on tvplay_it’s Twitch channel.

According to Pazzi Di Fanta, the Napoli striker added, “(Cristian) Romero is the toughest I’ve faced.” I got the ball deep multiple times the first time I played against him, and he was constantly behind me.”

Victor Osimhen to Tottenham Hotspur looked absurd a few months ago, but there’s no reason why it can’t happen next year.

The Nigerian international is expected to leave Napoli during one of the next two transfer windows. Tottenham clearly likes Osimhen, having been linked with a desire to sign him on multiple occasions.

Ange Postecoglou’s team has yet to replace Harry Kane, and if they want to return to thenext season, they will need to sign a top-tier number nine.

There aren’t many better strikers in the world than Osimhen, and while Tottenham will face competition from Arsenal and Chelsea for his signature, they are better placed now than ever before.
