Leeds United centre-back Maximilian Wober is close to joining Borussia Monchengladbach on loan for the season.

According to journalist Phil Hay, the 28-year-old has told Leeds of his wish to leave the club.

Leeds fans will not be surprised by this news, since the defender missed the club’s pre-season friendly against Monaco.
