Coventry City injury news from Coventry Live as Sky Blues midfielder Callum O’Hare ready to make the final few steps towards his comeback.
Mark Robins admits he has considered “dipping” Callum O’Hare back into action for Coventry City but has instead decided to err on the side of caution. The
forward has been back in full contact training for the last few weeks after just over nine months out with a ruptured ACL.
He appears to be making good progress as he goes through the final stages of his rehabilitation but while his manager has been tempted to push him on, he’s resisted the temptation to ensure the player is absolutely right before making his comeback. The next step appears to be a run-out in the Under-21s before being reintroduced to the first team squad on a match day and joining in from the bench.
Asked how close he is to a development match, Robins said: “That depends on where it is and on the circumstances
around it. It depends on the availability of everybody. There’s a lot of things to consider. I need to consider a lot of things before then.
The decision to scan came from Mark Robins, who also provided an injury report for a crucial Coventry City position.
“I could have perhaps introduced him to a game earlier, but I just thought it was too soon. He requires a training block, which he is now receiving. The following phase will be determined by Callum’s appearance and feelings after it. In order to prevent more issues, we must consider it in the context of his testing and ensure that there is symmetry, that both legs, both knees, and both ankles are identical, and that we are aware of the source of power.

He will begin training the following week as his next move. He will perform further labor. He will put in a lot of effort, give you a little break, and then put in more effort. The following week, as we prepare for the Bristol City game, he’ll return to training with the rest of the team, and from that point on, he might be close to playing. But we must wait and see. As I mentioned, I’m not setting any deadlines since I believe it would be unjust.
